Who are We?
We are a voluntary organisation, providing support services for children and young people from 0-19 years (25 years SEND) and their parents/carers.
We have developed a Parenting in Mind Programme, within which there are a number of innovative and creative solutions to identify and meet the challenges families are facing. The solutions are mindful of enabling families to develop and improve their own lives. The support we provide is based on the needs identified by families.
We have an established highly regarded Mental Health team, through which we deliver 1-1 counselling for parents of children aged 0-19 / 25 SEND.
We run anxiety and mindfulness workshops for parents and parenting courses for expectant and new parents. Some parents/carers access our Family Wellbeing Facilitators, who are able to offer emotional support, signposting and advocacy. We also have volunteer Parent Mentors who offer ongoing support to parents who have accessed Family Support or Counselling.

Fundraising with PIP
Schools and Organisations hold Pip days to raise awareness of the Parenting Project and the work we do with families.
We are hoping that your school will be able to help us to raise the profile of our charity and generate some funds by hosting a PIP day. PIP is our Penguin mascot, chosen because penguins make good parents and therefore a great role model for our charity.
The Parenting Project is a dedicated and dynamic charity established since 2006 to work with families across England experiencing trauma, loss, financial difficulties and hardship. We currently offer free counselling in schools and children’s centres but would like to offer more. We know there is a great need for our service. Please help!
