Wellbeing Volunteers in Schools

Our Family Wellbeing Team are looking to enlist volunteers to support them in their delivery of therapy groups within schools in Stratford District, Warwick and Rugby.

The groups undertaken are: Nurture groups, Lego Based Therapy and Friendship groups – these groups would be delivered in Primary schools. We are also looking to implement our Friendship and Resilience groups into Secondary schools as soon as we have capacity.

Our Family Wellbeing Facilitators are qualified and experienced practitioners and have expertise in delivering these groups. We would match you with a Family Wellbeing Facilitator and a school in your area, and then you would support the Facilitator within group sessions. The number of hours you choose to commit to, will be open to your availability.

Volunteers FEEDBACK

Feedback from our Volunteers

Feedback from our Volunteers

“I have developed a really good understanding of what is going on for my family and I am helping Mum to find ways to get through daily life. She is not on her own and I help her to realise that she needs to look after herself to be able to care for her family. I am really enjoying being able to make a difference and give back.”
“I feel that I too gain an awful lot from supporting parents and learn so much. I would advise anyone considering volunteering to give it a try and enjoy the rewards that come with it.”
