From Baby Massage to Lego®-based Therapy, all of our group programmes are interactive, engaging and supportive.
We tailor our sessions to the meet the needs of group attendees to ensure every participant gets the most out of each session.
Parents and Babies
The below groups are delivered both in person and online for parents and carers living in Warwickshire.
Baby Massage
Baby massage is the gentle, soft and rhythmic stroking of your baby’s body with your own hands. It is often done with massage oil or moisturiser and has many therapeutic benefits for both the parent and baby alike.
Baby massage is a relaxing way to bond with your baby. It can boost the positive feelings between you and your baby and helps you to feel more empowered and present in your actions.
Through a baby massage class you can nurture your own wellbeing as parents as well as your baby’s.
Our baby massage classes are available and open to all parents but we do also accommodate for specific individual groups such as fathers.
“Really enjoyed the classes – both for the baby massage itself and also meeting and chatting to other mums – lovely group.”
New Baby Programme
Our New Baby programme is available to provide expectant and new parents with a community-based workshop which facilitates an understanding of infant mental health.
The first 1000 days of a child’s life are crucial. It is during this time that your baby’s brain begins to grow and when the seeds are planted for their long term health and development. Important factors like stimulating interaction with your baby and their proper nutrition contribute to their wellbeing and success throughout their later life.
This program offers guidance on how parents can support their baby’s development during these first 1000 days.
Primary Aged Children
The below groups are delivered in schools throughout Warwickshire.
Friendship Groups
Making and keeping friends is a very useful skill for a child to learn. Being part of a friendship group can help children to understand themselves as well as others. It can help children learn how to work with and solve problems with others. It can also help children learn how to play fairly, develop their actions, and establish a sense of appropriate social behaviour. A good friendship group can challenge a child as well as support them.
Lego®-based Therapy
By playing Lego your child can learn how to build and create using their own skills and ideas. They can also learn how to use these skills and ideas when playing with other people. These transferable skills allow for a child to develop their creative, practical and team orientated thinking. It is also a great way for a child to talk honestly with someone and express how they might feel about something whilst they play. Lego is one of the most fun activities that everyone can enjoy!
“Lego has helped us to get to know each other’s personalities and it helps.”
Art-based Therapy
Your child can be as free as they want to be and create whatever they want when they make art. It is a great way for children and adults to express themselves and play with others. It can be both exciting and relaxing to do. It is a great way for your child to show how they feel and for them to understand how other people might be feeling. They may also find that art can actually change how they feel.
Secondary Aged Children
The below groups are delivered in schools throughout Warwickshire.
Friendship and Wellbeing Groups
Making and keeping friends with peers is a very useful skill to learn, especially in secondary school when relationships are sometimes more difficult for a number of reasons. People change a lot during their time at secondary school and so can their friendships.
Becoming part of a friendship group can help children and teens to understand themselves as well as others. It can help them to build confidence and character in who they are as individuals. It can teach them how to behave around others and develop a sense of appropriate social behaviour in order to help everyone get by in life. A good friendship group can challenge children and teens as well as support them.
“I now have friends and feel better at school.”
Art-based Therapy
Creating art is for many people the act in which a person can feel their freest and most connected, both with the world around them and with themselves. Creating art and viewing the art of others helps to explore emotions, develop self-awareness, cope with stress and boost self-esteem. As well as expressing their feelings, children and teens may also find that art can actually change how they feel. It is also a great way to spend time with others.
