Parenting Project response to Shipston Bugle Facebook posts on 5 September 2017

September 07, 2017

The Parenting Project does not endorse recent comments made by local Children’s Centre users on the Shipston Bugle Facebook page.

We feel that the remarks about the current County Council consultation on the future of children’s services are ill-informed and inappropriate. We understand that people are passionate about these issues but making personal attacks and using offensive language is not an effective way to channel this passion.

We all want the very best for Warwickshire children and their families and we support the council as it considers how this is done to greatest effect. We urge all local people to think carefully about what is being proposed in this consultation and what we can all do to ensure families in most need of support are able to access it in a way that suits them best.

The council wants the views of as many people as possible to help inform their decisions. People should point their passion toward the public consultation and complete the questionnaire at www.warwickshire.gov.uk/familyhubsconsultation or call 01926 742350 before 11 September.
